How many years of study in a World Language are required?

Successful completion of two years of World Language study in high school is required for graduation from a Maryland school for a college completer program.

A minimum of two years of study of the same World Language is required for the college completer program and admission to the University System of Maryland.

Many out-of-state colleges and some in-state private colleges or universities require more World Languages study.  It is advisable to contact the Admissions Office of your college of interest to determine the World Languages requirement for that specific institution.
